Mexicali: Day Two

For night two of our Zinefest  Internacional event was set at Mexicali Rose just under a mile away from the U.S. border. We were given the grand tour by our host, Marco Vera. We were given an oral history of how this place has been a corner stone of the community. You could feel the weight of the past and what an honor it was to hold our art exchange from both countries here.

Mexicali: Day One

zfintl_mexicali-13-of-15

We want to thanks for the people of Mexico that opened up their spaces and community to make this event happen. Here are photos from our first night in Mexicali at Escritorio de Procesos. It was a great night of music and culture being exchanged between two cities that are not that far apart. From the photos and the videos the mexican punk scene is alive and thriving and it definitely feels like home.  The energy was overtop and more then expected for us zinester from Los Angeles. Enjoy the photos!
