For night two of our Zinefest Internacional event was set at Mexicali Rose just under a mile away from the U.S. border. We were given the grand tour by our host, Marco Vera. We were given an oral history of how this place has been a corner stone of the community. You could feel the weight of the past and what an honor it was to hold our art exchange from both countries here.
Nico Avina is seen here conducting a screen printing workshop for the attendees of Mexicali Rose. Nico gave them a few tips and creating a mobile printing device that can be used in many settings.
Illustrator / designer Hector Ruiz Chaochato conducted a linoleum press & etching workshop to show his printing technique to the attendees.
Zinesters and attendees interacting together. Its a great thing.
